As the NBA lockout continues, the viewers and fans suffer, or do they?
If you are an avid Bball fan then you obviously know that there might not be an NBA season this year. We will find out soon enough come November 1, when the first NBA game is scheduled to tip off for the 2011-2012 season. However, in the off-season there has been multiple mini league games, (Drew League, Melo League, etc.) these games have featured pros such as Kevin Durant, John Wall, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Josh Selby, Chris Paul and Javale McGee just to name a few. In these games the NBA superstars have lit up the hardwood showcasing there individual talents and dominating lesser players. Lackluster defense plays a key role in these "shilackings", but it is still a sight to behold. Unfortunately during this lockout many players have opted to play overseas, some to play until the lockout is over, and some have signed contracts for full seasons. (J.R. Smith signing a 1 year deal with China, will not be playing in the NBA if the season starts on time) I believe this is bad for us in the USA but it is great that some of our greatest players, such as Derron Williams, are moving overseas to spread the popularity of basketball. These "minor league" games are quite the spectacle to see, but they are unbroadcasted and are only available to view through Youtube accounts of individuals filming the games. My question is why aren't these games being broadcasted? Who would'nt want to see LeBron James catching an Alley-oop from Chris Paul over Kevin Durant? I sure as hell would record the shit out of that. Below is a video of Kobe hitting a game winner over James Harden in a Drew League exhibition game. Just awesome pure Kobe. What are your thoughts on the lockout? Will we have a 2011-12 season? Should these Drew/Melo League games be televised? Leave your comments below.
What the hell is up with all the Christians?
Ok so I just joined this blogspot bidness. I started clicking "next blog" and holy dog shit!!! Nothing but whining Christians. WOW, I didn't know I joined a bible camp. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on a religion, I'm just wondering why every single blog I have seen so far is about Jesus. Any one care to shed light on this topic?
A poem about addiction
Hello all none of you,
This is my first post and would like to say, if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! Come back for some great poems, thoughts about the world, chit chat about basketball, or just what ever is on my mind. I'm an open minded individual, I live in Seattle, I love to just hang out and post stupid shit for people to see :)This is the first poem I ever wrote, It is about addiction and how one tries to break that addiction and how eventually you become a prisoner to yourself. I write poems as an outlet of feelings, frustration, thoughts, and just because I enjoy it. Some of my poems lack structure or rhymes due to inexperience, but the beautiful thing about writing is, well to me at least, is it doesn't really matter. The more unique, the better, I always (or just now) say.
